Mojo Music & Media Re-ups Bart Butler and Adds Lalo to Their Growing Roster

July 25, 2019

Nashville, TN (July 25, 2019) – Mojo Music and Media has re-signed writer-producer Bart Butler to an exclusive multi-year worldwide publishing deal continuing their longstanding partnership.  The fast-growing independent publisher has also signed an exclusive long-term deal with rising songwriter/producer Lalo, it was announced today by company SVP Butch Baker.

Butler has had a solid run of hits in recent years, writing and co-producing Jon Pardi’s breakthrough hits “Missin’ You Crazy”, “Up All Night”, “When I’ve Been Drinkin” and “What I Can’t Put Down” as well as his 2016 #1 single “Heartache On The Dance Floor” and co-writing Thomas Rhett’s chart-topper “Make Me Wanna” and Craig Campbell’s “See You Try”.  Most recently, Butler co-produced Pardi’s third Capitol Records album, Heartache Medication, on which he co-wrote 7 tracks.  The album is due for release on September 27.  He is also finishing production on the new Trace Adkins album as well as working on rising artist Randall King’s debut.

In addition to the songwriter deal, the new Butler/Mojo pact launches Camo Cowboy Music, a JV publishing company.  Mojo has also extended its association with Bill Butler Music.

Prior to his status  as a hit writer and producer, Butler was a successful song plugger who pitched thirteen number one country singles.  “I’m gratified that Bart’s chosen to keep building his career with us here at Mojo,” said Mojo SVP Butch Baker.  “I’ve known him for years and Bart’s the whole package – a great writer, a great producer, a music man and a good friend.”

“Courtney, Keithan and Butch have been like family to me.  Family sticks together.  I’m excited about what lies ahead,” said Butler.

Furthermore, Mojo has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with writer/producer Lalo.  Starting off as a drummer at church from the early age of four years old and then mastering a wide range of instruments, music has always been a central part of Lalo’s life.  Since moving to Nashville from the San Francisco Bay area, his production work has quickly caught the ear of the songwriting and publishing community.

“We’ve been looking for someone like Lalo for a long time.  Not only is he a great writer and producer but his energy and creativity is infectious and fits in perfectly with the culture we’ve created here at Mojo.  We feel blessed to have the opportunity to help him chase excellence in all aspects of his career.” said Mojo SVP Butch Baker.

Lalo stated, “The passion for what I do, shown by the team at Mojo, was clear from the very beginning.  It’s obvious we share the same vision for where I want to be.”

Both writers are an active part of Mojo Music and Media’s Nashville roster which also includes Joe Clemmons, Neil Medley, Sarah Allison Turner and Mike Walker.
