MOJO SYNC TEAM LANDS NASHVILLE DEMO IN GREY’S ANATOMY

January 30, 2020

“HOPE” WILL PLAY IN THE FINAL MONTAGE ON THURSDAY’S EPISODE

Nashville, TN (January 30, 2020) – A demo of “Hope”, a song written by Mojo songwriter/artist Sarah Allison Turner, along with Hayley McLean and Emily Falvey, will be featured in Grey’s Anatomy tonight, January 30.

The song was written last summer and pitched by Mojo’s SVP Creative Lisa Macy to Grey’s Anatomy music supervisors, Chop Shop, as they were making music decisions for the new season.

While featured songs in Grey’s Anatomy are typically produced records from label-signed artists, Hayley McLean’s demo vocal was so compelling that the show’s creative team decided to run with it. McLean, who releases music under her artist name Texada, will be releasing the song simultaneously with the Grey’s airing on all streaming services.

“Hope” will play in the episode’s final montage, where Dr. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) reassures a patient’s family that she will be alright and then pleads with Dr. Deluca (Giacomo Gianniotti) to help save her.

According to Macy, “I knew from the first listen that this was a very special song. The track is gorgeous and the lyric speaks to finding hope during your most vulnerable times. I couldn’t wait to share it with Alex Patsavas at Chop Shop and was thrilled when she chose to highlight it in Grey’s.

Said Mojo Founder & CEO Mark Fried, “We’re blessed to have a roster of writers who are also uniquely talented musicians and producers, which enables us to pitch for syncs just as actively as we plug for cuts.”
