MOJO SYNC TEAM LANDS NASHVILLE DEMO IN GREY’S ANATOMY

January 30, 2020

A demo of “Hope”, a song written by Mojo catalog writer Sarah Allison Turner, along with Hayley McLean and Emily Falvey, is featured in Grey’s Anatomy Season 16, Ep. 11.

The song was written last summer and pitched by Mojo’s SVP Creative Lisa Macy to Grey’s Anatomy music supervisors, Chop Shop, as they were making music decisions for the new season.

While featured songs in Grey’s Anatomy are typically produced records from label-signed artists, Hayley McLean’s demo vocal was so compelling that the show’s creative team decided to run with it. McLean released the song simultaneously with the airing under her artist name Texada.

You’ll hear “Hope” in the episode’s final montage, where Dr. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) reassures a patient’s family that she will be alright and then pleads with Dr. Deluca (Giacomo Gianniotti) to help save her.
