Having been a successful songwriter, publisher, producer, and entrepreneur over several decades, Jeff brings a broad and deep mix of creative experience in Nashville’s music scene. After starting in the business under the wing of legendary producer Chips Moman at Warner Records, Jeff turned to songwriting and session work under the aegis of another admired mentor, Pete Drake. His prolific output through the late-70s and 80s included two #1’s, Kenny Rogers & Dottie West’s “Every Time Two Fools Collide” and Lee Greenwood’s “Mornin’ Ride”, as well as a slew of chart singles and cuts with the likes of Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette, Ray Price, Tom Jones, Glen Campbell, B. J. Thomas and LeAnn Rimes. Eventually moving into publishing, Jeff managed the works and careers of such award-winning songwriters as Tom Shapiro, Chris Waters, Al Anderson, Jim Lauderdale, Bobby Tomberlin, Chuck Jones, Billy Montana and Dan Tyler, among others. His work as a producer includes stints with Billy Ray Cyrus, American Idol finalist Kree Harrison and, most recently, Country/Christian artist Barry Lee White. Jeff’s pure love for songs and songwriters coupled with his business acumen and dedication to creative excellence have made him a perfect fit with Team Mojo.
